Alice Audrey has been in the beauty industry for the past 28 years. Working with makeup at a young age, she began her career in pharmacy. She then went on to study Specialised Makeup and Hairdressing at Victoria University. She completed her qualifications winning several awards being ‘Outstanding Student of the Year, ‘Vocational Student of the Year and ‘Winner of the HBIA Student Award’. 

Specialising in Professional Theatre, Alice has worked on many musical productions including ‘Guys and Dolls’, ‘Billy Elliott’, ‘A Little Night Music’ and ‘Dirty Rotten Scoundrels’. Having worked in the Entertainment Industry for over 14 years, Alice has worked with high profile artists including Marina Prior, Lisa McCune, Magda Szubanski, Shane Jacobson, Garry McDonald and International television star Peter Davison. Acting as Head of Department for the BBC ‘Dr Who Symphonic Spectacular’, Alice was resonsible for all hair and makeup for the event.

Since 2010, Alice has been a qualified educator for Diploma of Screen and Media. She finds teaching highly rewarding and loves to be a part of developing future makeup artists and watch them fulfill their dreams by gaining the skills and knowledge they require to be industry ready.

Currently employed by Opera Australia, Alice began her career with the company in 2007 and has been responsible for hair, wigs and makeup for many International principal artists. She has worked on over 40 productions including the filming for television and DVD. Some of these productions include ‘Madam Butterfly’, ‘La Boheme’, ‘The Ring Cycle’, ‘Don Giovanni’ and ‘A Midsummers Night’s Dream‘.  Alice feels very privileged to be part of the Opera Australia family.
